THE COUNTRY’S bet Joanna Eden failed to bring home the crown in the Miss Supranational 2016 pageant held in Krynica Zdroj, Poland last Saturday morning (PH time).
This year’s Miss Supranational is India’s Srinidhi Shetty while Venezuela’s Valeria Vespoli and Jaleesa Pigot of Suriname placed first runner-up and second runner-up, respectively.
Rounding up the Top 5 were candidates from Sri Lanka and Hungary.
Joanna, who was vying for the Philippines’ second Miss Supranational crown following the victory of Mutya Datul in 2013, only finished in the top 25 of the tilt.
Special awards such as Miss Photogenic went to Miss Suriname; Best Body to Miss Russia; Best in National Costume to Miss Vietnam; Best in Evening Gown to Miss Romania; and Top Model went to Miss Argentina.
Miss Indonesia got the highest number of votes on Facebook, earning her a spot in the pageant’s Top 10.
