P5.9 million shabu seized

Anti-drug operatives seized about 500 grams of white crystalline believed to be shabu value at P5.9 million in a buy bust operation in Barangay Calamba Cebu City on Monday afternoon.

In coordination with the Philippine Enforcement Agency in Central Visayas (PDEA 7), policemen from the Cebu City Police Office’s San Nicolas Police (Station 6) led by Chief Insp. Keith Andaya arrested the suspected drug pusher, Edwin Rivera,. on V. Rama Avenue, Cebu City at 4:30 p.m. today.

Seized from Rivera were a five large size transparent plastic containing shabu and bundles of boodle money (fake bills covered with real P1,000 bills) amounting to P130,000 used in the buy bust operation.

Rivera, 40, a resident of Barangay Labangon in Cebu City, is now detained at Police Station 6.

Meanwhile, a teenager was also arrested together with other two men in a buy bust operation in one of the mountain barangays of Cebu City.

The Talamban Police (Station 8) reported having arrested Nestor Bediot, 18, who was the subject of the buy bust operation; Ralf Ponce, 23; and Arnolfo Gualiza, 37, in Sitio Plaza, Barangay Pulangbato at 12 noon today.

Seized from their possession were 11 pieces of small sachet of shabu, drug paraphernalia and P1,100 believed to be proceed of the illegal activity. The three suspects are now detained at Station 8.
