A man who tried to sneak drugs for a friend, who is detained at the Argao Police Station detention cell, was arrested Wednesday afternoon.

Ryan Dela Cerna, a resident of Barangay Talaytay, Argao, was also detained together with his friend.

Po3 Benjamine Herosaga said that Dela Cerna visited the police detention cell about 2 p.m. on Wednesday to visit a friend.

The detention cell is located in a separate building located about 8 meters away from the police station in Barangay Poblacion.

Since Dela Cerna is already known among the police for his illegal activities, two policemen – SPO3 Esteban Albuera and PO3 Jose Palmero – follow him.

Albuera and Palmero collared Dela Cerna as he was about to hand a small sachet of shabu to the friend that he was visiting.

Police found another pack of shabu during the body frisk made after they brought Dela Cerna to the police station.

Herosaga said that during the interrogation, Dela Cerna admitted that he brought the pack of shabu for his friend’s use. But he failed to name his friend.

Dela Cerna also denied that he was selling drugs to the inmates.

Herosaga said that Dela Cerna was earlier jailed for child abuse, after he punched a kid, but posted bail for his temporary freedom.
