A 15-YEAR-OLD boy was wounded after being shot by riding-in-tandem hit men past 12 midnight yesterday in Barangay Tabunok, Talisay City.
Roy (real name withheld for being a minor), of Sitio Mananga, Barangay Tabunok, was rushed to Talisay District Hospital after sustaining a gunshot wound in his back with the bullet exiting through his abdomen. He was later transferred to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center in Cebu City for further treatment.
PO2 John Cyrus Ilustrisimo of Talisay City Police Station, said the victim is a “noted snatcher” in the area and has already been apprehended several times but later released due to his young age.
Ilustrisimo said that the victim was walking towards his home when he was tailed by two unidentified men riding in tandem. The back rider suddenly shot the victim from behind.
It was believed that the two assailants had already lost patience of the victim’s illegal activities.
