NO MATTER what happens in the finals today, Bacolod City is already a winner in the St. Ignatius Invitational Volleyball Cup Season 7.

This after teams A and B of Bacolod’s Tay Tung High School forged a titular showdown by defeating separate opponents in the knockout semifinals yesterday at the Lux Oriens Gym of the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) in Canduman, Mandaue.

Tay Tung-B pulled off a dominating 25-13, 25-9 victory over the University of Cebu girls’ team to move into the championship round.

But the biggest win of the day came from Tay Tung-A, which defeated home team SHS-AdC, 23-25, 25-23, 25-15, to make it into the finals.

Tay Tung squads A and B will square up for the title at 2 p.m. while UC and SHS-AdC collide for bronze in the 11 a.m. match.
