PERFORMING IN THE RAIN
Spectators of an event in a southern Cebu town braved heavy rains just to be able to witness a yearly presentation which the town has become known for.
But some attendees felt bad for the children cast members who continued performing amid the heavy downpour. They were worried that the kids will suffer from colds, or worse, fever.
AIR-CONDITIONED MALL VS TRAFFIC
Residents of Mactan Island considered coping with the Holy Week brownouts on the island by heading for the air-conditioned malls in the mainland.
But they also knew they had to deal with the agonizing traffic when they head home.
Some pushed through with the mainland malling plans, but many more opted to just stay home. After all, it would still be hot during the journey, plus they would be spending a lot of time on the road.
FROM HOT TO COLD
Aside from the recent episode of heavy rains, days in Cebu have become almost unbearably hot recently. Temperatures can reach up to 30 degrees Celsius and even more.
Some had to make do with home remedies like turning on their air-conditioner and electric fans. But for some, they were lucky enough that they had scheduled trips out of the country during these hot days.
A pair of friends were on their way to South Korea where it is spring and the weather is cold. Before leaving, they posted a photo outside the Mactan
Cebu International Airport with the caption, “Goodbye 35 degrees Celsius.”
