LATE CALL TIME

A real estate company invited prospective buyers to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for a project in southern Cebu.

The call time was set at 7:30 a.m. since the coaster was supposed to leave by 8 a.m. from Cebu City. At 9:30 a.m., the vehicle still hasn’t left.

One of the buyers, a senior, told staffers in jest that he has lost interest in buying their lots. “Had I known we were going to leave late, I would have come at 9 a.m.,” he said.

SOME IMPROVEMENT

A man who had a transaction at City Hall was surprised that it took him only an hour to finish his business.

He rated a City Hall department 4 out of 5 stars since the office didn’t have enough electric fans to cool those lining up outside.

HIGH RATING

President Rodrigo Duterte’s high rating in an international publication was cheered by supporters and jeered by critics who number in the minority.

One of the critics acknowledged that while the President’s high rating was due to his continuing popularity, it was helped along by supporters who actively participated in the publication’s survey.
