Drug busts yield 24 arrests, close to a million in shabu

Close to a million pesos worth of drugs were seized while at least 24 persons were arrested in separate drug busts in the towns of Consolacion and Minglanilla and the cities of Talisay, Toledo and Lapu-Lapu on Friday and Saturday.

Eleven persons were arrested by Lapu-Lapu City Police for possession of P200,000 worth of shabu in the last two days.

Arrested were Gylde Ruel Polentinos, 21; Roden Dignos, 49; Calence Tamsi, 42; Kate Caryn Moralde, 20; Alberto Ramos, 45; Jason Rodriguez, 25; Rael Alegres, 33; Roldan Baldisanzo III; Dennis Pagobo, 34; Mark Saladaga, 28; and his live-in-partner Christa Lyn Alegarme, 18.

In Toledo City, police collared Tyron Agraviador, a level two drug pusher and his cohort Jason Timkang in Barangay Poog by police at 5 p.m. last Friday.

In Minglanilla town, drug dealer Orland Llena, 41, and two female accomplices Mae Villanueva and Mary Joy Paca, were arrested at his home in a subdivision in Barangay Calajoan, Friday night.

In Barangay Polpogan, Consolacion, a woman, a drug surrenderer and his two cohorts were arrested by police.

In Sitio district 5, police arrested 49-year-old Jose Nepomuceno and his alleged accomplice Jason Resma in a drug bust. Two of Nepomuceno’s cohorts, Mercenario Rollon and a 14-year-old boy, escaped.

Taken from the possession of suspects Richard Agujar, Vicpol Daño and Argane Bobo were two medium packs and 18 small sachets of shabu worth P236,000.

In Talisay City, drug suspects Manuel Cabuenas and Sonny Alcantara were arrested in a drug bust in Barangay Langtang.
