POINTLESS RALLIES

About 100 persons including children marched from Plaza Independencia to Colon Street to rally against martial law in Mindanao as part of their commemoration for the Global Day of Action Against War and Militaries on Saturday.

However, militant groups angered netizens who support the Presidents decision on putting Mindanao under martial law.

Grey Sky, wrote “Pampered kaayo mu sa military dinhi sa Mindanao. Dugang lang mus traffic.” (You’re pampered by the military in Mindanao. You just aggravate traffic)

Another netizen John Cuevas also replied: “Hangtud what time inyo pag samok? Naa pa unta mi lakaw. Hantod 1 hour ra unta mo permi no.” (Up to what time would your disturbance end? We still have an appointment. I hope your rally always ends in one hour)

But instead of rallying, Jhezhryle Faith Sumalinog replied: “why not pray because their constant protests won’t solve the problem in Marawi City.”

The ongoing military offensives against the terrorists holed up in the city has reached its 12th day.
