THE COMPASSION for Humanity International Group Inc., (Chigi) will hold the Run 4 Chigi: A Run for Humanity at the Parkmall Plaza on Sept. 2.

The charity race hopes to raise more funds for its community livelihood project in Barangay Subangdaku, Mandaue City.

Chigi chief executive officer Tootsie Paller said that the non-profit organization has adopted 10 families in the barangay in line with its community development and empowerment program.

“(It) is for the benefit of the adopted families of Subangdaku by providing them with livelihood projects and scholarship program for the kids,” said Chigi CEO Tootsie Spaller in a press conference at the Events Hive in Barangay Subangdaku, Mandaue City.

Chigi has taught mothers in the barangay how to make dishwashing liquids which are to be sold for additional income.

Race director Bien Probadora said that they’re expecting 2,000 participants in the race mostly from churches and schools.

Registration fee is pegged at P350 for the 3K run, P400 for 5K, and P450 for 10K.
