Couple Surlito and Alane Sinugbohan were shot to death by unidentified assailants inside their home in Badian town, Cebu, on Thursday night as they were having dinner with their children.
As the Badian police ruled out the illegal drugs trade as a likely motive since the couple was not in the narco list of the town, netizens have nothing but sympathy for the victims and their children, and called for justice.
Facebook user Zena Zeta Kyle Esbra lamented. “Even when you’re staying at home, you still can’t be assured that you are completely safe from harm.”
Roman Menoza Javierto said, “I just can’t imagine the trauma of their children considering that they live in the same compound.”
Landa Jane called for a speedy investigation. “I hope the police will arrest the suspects and give justice to their untimely death. All the criminals should be put behind bars. Innocent people do not deserve to be hurt or killed.”
The Badian police, in a Facebook post, urged the public to report any information that may help locate the killers and give justice to the slain couple.
