DOH-7 asks LGUs to file dengue vaccine report

The Department of Health in Central Visayas (DOH-7) already completed on Thursday its dengue vaccination program for the whole province of Cebu.

But Dr. Hayce Ramos, DOH-7 National Immunization Program (NIP) medical coordinator, said that they are still waiting for reports coming from the City Health Offices (CHOs) and the Rural Health Units (RHUs) of local government units before they can come up with their final report on the administration of dengue vaccines in Cebu.

As of Monday, DOH-7 already recorded at least 132,627 children aged 10–14 years old who were given the dengue vaccines. They targeted around 600,000 beneficiaries to avail of the free dengue vaccine.

Ramos said they need the CHO and RHU reports in the Consolidated Report Form on the Community Base for Dengue Vaccine which they will submit to their head office.

The availability of data, Ramos said, will also help DOH-7 assess program implementation before they administer the second dose of the vaccine in December.

DOH-7 scheduled dengue vaccination in the cities of Lapu-Lapu, Manadue and Cebu in June, and in Cebu province on July 17.
