Robi Domingo poses with students at the ComGuild Media Awards
ABS-CBN took home 11 awards during the 2017 ComGuild Media Awards held at the Henry-Lee Irwin Theater of the Ateneo de Manila University last Sunday, October 1.
Leading the honorees were Coco Martin (Male Endorser of the Year), Sarah Geronimo (Female Endorser of the Year), Liza Soberano (Most Loved Female Teen Endorser), Anne Curtis (Advertisers Friendly Female Host) and Robi Domingo (Advertisers Friendly Male Host).
Domingo (@iamrobidomingo) posted a photo of him with students on his Instagram account and said, “I guess this is one of the moments where I don’t actually know what to say cause my heart is full of bliss.”
“Words can’t explain how happy I am to receive this recognition. Thank you to the ComGuild for this wonderful award. Just like what I said, I’ll strive to be better.. For the Glory of God. #babyshark (also, thank you for the birthday greeting),” the host added.
Kapamilya child star Simon “Onyok” Pineda received the Most Admired Child Endorser. On his Instagram (@onyokxymonpineda) post, he said, “9th COMGUILD Awards. Thanks for my award and cake. #9thComGuild2017 #MostAdmiredChildEndorser.”
Other Kapamilya awardees were Karla Estrada, Melai Cantiveros, and Jolina Magdangal (Advertisers Friendly Morning Show) for “Magandang Buhay” morning show which also won Advertisers Friendly Morning Show; and Karen Davila (Best Entrepreneurial/Business Show Host) for “My Puhunan” which also won the Best Entrepreneurial/Business Show.
ABS-CBN won the Advertisers’ Friendly Network. Meanwhile, the phenomenal loveteam of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza, otherwise known as AlDub, continue to prove that they are still the tandem to beat after being named Advertisers Most Admired Love Team. Richards, who was present at the event to receive the award, also won the Most Loved Male Teen Endorser award. ”Their “Eat Bulaga” co-host, Sebastian Benedict “Baste,” Granfon, more popularly known as Baeby Baste, was recognized as the Most Admired Child Endorser.
ComGuild Media Awards honors Filipino endorsers, entrepreneurs, journalists, and television shows.
According to its official page, ComGuild is a learning institution in the Philippines that allows its students to interact and learn from different speakers.
Its mission is “to offer a venue for the development of communication skills and practices of students as well as members of the academe in the fields of journalism, public relations, and advertising.” (Michelle Joy Padayhag)
