Navarro, Miller win in Talisay race
ELMER Navarro and Joseph Miller topped their respective categories in the 3rd Jodan/Keith DeFiebre Cycling Team XC Mountain Bike Race held in Barangay Maghaway, Talisay City, last Sunday.
Navarro topped the 13-kilometer race of the Open Category to win P1,500 cash.
Donkey Sanchez and Randy Cabonera finished second and third, respectively.
Miller, meanwhile, emerged on top in the 9.1km Category B race to also win P1,500.
Roy Cabonera and Emmanuel Pedroza were his runners-up.
Meanwhile, Jayniel Medalla triumphed in Category C while major sponsor Keith DeFiebre reigned in the Golden category.
Pamela Ruiz won in the Women’s Overall Juniors while Alwen Alconera topped the Overall Juniors.
Other Junior winners by grade level were John Tecson (Grade 9), Alwen Alconera (Grade 10), John Carcueva (Grade 11) and John Fernandez (Grade 12).
Cebu United Cycling Club head organizer Abs Cinco said participants increased from 20 to 80 bikers.
