THEY aren’t the Palarong Pambansa 2017 elementary football champions for nothing.
Don Bosco-A, mostly manned by players that represented Central Visayas in last year’s Palaro, clinched the Under-13 title of the 19th Aboitiz Football Cup with a 2-0 blanking of Don Bosco-B at the football field of the Don Bosco Technical College in barangay Punta Princesa, Cebu City.
DB-A showed its sister team DB-B no mercy after scoring back-to-back goals in the first half of the match.
DB-A’s Vaugn Pacaña, who scored his 10th goal of the tournament in the game, bagged the Golden Boot award.
DB-A goalkeeper Cyril Calo was named as the Best Goalkeeper, while DB B’s Nathan Lingatong was adjudged as the Best Defender and Cabsten Pumareja as the Best Midfielder.
