THREE Cebuano netters are vying for the title in their respective categories after advancing to the championship round of the 12th Cebuana Lhuillier Age-Group Tennis Championship which is being played in three venues within Cebu City.
Tiffany Claire Nocos is on track to grab two titles in the Group 1 level tournament after she bagged two finals ticket via the 14 Under and 16 Under Girls categories.
David Ezra Sepulveda also has an opportunity to bag a title for the locals in the 8 Under Unisex, a category which is introduced for the first time in the Cebu leg.
Nocos bagged her finals ticket in the Under 16 Girls by besting fellow Cebuana Nichole dela Rita, 3-6, 6-1, 10-8 in the semifinals. She will be contesting the title against Rovie Baulete, who advanced at the expense of Shedel Aighey Gica of Cebu, 6-1, 6-1.
In the Under 14 Girls, Nocos barged into the final round with a straight set defeat of Kimberly McKenzie, 6-0, 6-2. She will face Corazon Lambonao for the title.
Sepulveda will try to grab the title against Carlisle Cuizon. He reached the finals at the expense of Rafa Earl Lorence Callao.
