Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña is looking for an executive assistant that will handle the situation of habal-habal or motorcycle-for-hire operations.
Executive assistant Arnel Tancinco, who was assigned to focus on the said task, vacated his position after he was dismissed from public office by the Office of the Ombudsman.
Tancinco, who was the former Land Transportation Office (LTO) 7 acting director, and two other employees were found guilty of grave misconduct by the Ombudsman over an alleged illegal solicitation.
Although he does not have any prospect as of the moment, the mayor divulged that he has interviewed some people who showed interest to take over Tancinco’s position.
“He has to be educated. He has to be someone who can handle technical matters and procedures (of motorcycle-for-hires),” Osmeña said.
