DALAGUETE and Balamban remained unbeaten in the Governor’s Cup Volleyball Tournament after logging separate victories over the weekend in separate venues.
The volleybelles of Dalaguete are on a roll in the South Division as they defeated Samboan, 25-13, 25-11, at the Oslob Municipal Gym yesterday to improve to 2-0 (win-loss) in the standings.
Balamban, on the other hand, defeated Carmen, 23-25, 25-21, 25-18, at the Sogod Municipal Gym for their second straight win in as many games in the North Division.
Samboan, thus, remained winless after two outings in the competition for volleybelles 18 years and below while Carmen stands at 1-1 in the standings.
In other games, Talisay City recovered from a loss to Minglanilla on Saturday by beating Argao, 25-23, 20-25, 30-28, yesterday at the Carcar City gym.
Home team Oslob also improved to 1-1 after beating Santander (0-2), 22-25, 25-22, 25-18, at the Oslob Municipal Gym.
In another game at the Sogod Municipal Gym, Danao City (2-1) swept Asturias (0-2), 25-11, 25-17.
