Actor looks back on job application at McDonald’s
NOT all celebrities willingly share what their life was before joining showbiz.
Kapuso actor Jason Abalos is one of those who doesn’t mind looking back at their humble beginnings.
On Instagram, he shared that he applied as service crew for the international fastfood chain, McDonald’s.
The trivia was posted yesterday as he joined McDonald’s National Breakfast Day at the international fast food chain’s branch in Jones Avenue, Cebu City.
“Trivia: noong college ako, nag apply ako sa @mcdo_ph para maging service crew. Hindi ako natanggap. Kaya kanina may chance ako sineryoso ko, mahirap pala. Buti na lang, hindi sana ako nakatapos ng college. Haha pero masaya nakapagbigay kami ng libre na bagong longgadesal,” the 33-year-old actor said.
Yesterday, McDonald’s celebrated its sixth National Breakfast Day by giving free Longgadesal sandwiches nationwide. Longgadesal is the fastfood chain’s newest breakfast offering.
Wearing a red McDonald’s shirt, Abalos helped the crew in giving away Longgadesal sandwiches and coffee from 7 a.m to 8 a.m. yesterday.
Some customers were surprised with Abalos’ presence. The actor also granted a photo opportunity with customers and fans.
Abalos met with Cebu’s entertainment press and bloggers after giving free Longgadesal sandwhiches.
“ Ang hirap pala ng ginagawa nila sa baba. Nakakabilib ang crew ng McDonald’s,” Abalos said.
It was his first time to join the celebration of National Breakfast Day.
The Kapuso actor also learned how to take orders from the customers.
Other McDonald’s ambassadors who joined the celebration in different branches across the country were Atom Araullo, Alden Richards, Maine Mendoza, Gabbi Garcia, Ruru Madrid, Maymay Entrata, Edward Barber, Gabby Concepcion, Tony Labrusca, Donny and Hannah Pangilinan, and Rocco Nacino.
