CEBUANO cyclist Dongkey Sanchez vies in the 13th San Francisco Camotes Cross Country Mountain Bike Challenge in Camotes Island, Cebu, today.
The 36-year-old Sanchez reigned the 2016 edition in the masters category, clocking in one hour, six minutes, and 14.10 seconds.
He finished third in the veterans division last year, which was won by XTERRA Pro finisher Joseph Miller.
Miller won’t compete in this stint due to an ankle injury.
That makes Sanchez, a member of the Keith DeFiebre cycling team, a strong contender along with fellow Cebuano Jun Duron.
