Man collared after stealing kitchenware, food in Dumaguete City

A 34-year-old man was caught stealing kitchenware in Barangay Bajumpandan, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental on Wednesday morning.

The suspect, Roger Legsio, was arrested after Loreta Pastor, 76, cornered him inside her house.

Confiscated from suspect’s possession were 8 kilos of rice, a bolo, two pieces of cooking pot and food.

SPO1 Gregorio Arnaiz l, desk officer of Dumaguete City police station, said that the suspect also ate the food prepared by the old woman for lunch.

Legsio is now temporarily detained at the city police station pending the filing of theft charges against him.
