Fisherman found dead after drowning in Dumaguete City

DUMAGUETE CITY – A 63-year-old fisherman drowned in the waters off Barangay Santa Monicain on Wednesday night.

The victim was identified as Melencio Luces, 63, a resident of Barangay Bajumpandan.

SPO1 Diego Tuble of Dumaguete City police precinct said that the victim left his home to catch some fish for dinner.

Luces was brought to the nearest hospital but was declared dead on arrival by attending physicians.
