Netizens expressed varied reactions after Cebu City Vice Mayor Edgar Labella announced on Wednesday (June 27) that he is open to challenge the reelection bid of incumbent Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña next year.
Labella is a member of BARUG Team Rama and is currently the PDP-Laban Cebu president.
Jed Luzano commented, “Best strategy is to have Rama, Labella and Osmeña run for Cebu Mayor. Last minute mo back out either si Rama or Labella to form a joint coalition just to beat Osmeña… but regardless, I still doubt they can beat mang tomas.”
Salvador Contreras said, “Rama started as Tom O’s man. He even became a mayor under Tom’s banner. And then he rebelled. Labella also started in politics ala Rama. Will he do ala Rama and rebel against their leader (Rama) and fight against their original leader Tomas? We will know soon enough.”
While Juan Ponce wrote, “Wala na diay Barug Team Rama…. Barug Team Labella na! Hahhaha.”
However, Labella said Barug Team Rama members are yet to meet to come up with a final line-up.
