International Travel Festival 2018 Brings Back One-Stop Shop Fair for Travelers

Are you eager to book a flight to your dream destination and enjoy a relaxing accommodation by one of your dream hotels? Well, get your passport, luggage and pocket money ready because the most awaited travel fair in the region is back on its fifth year.

To kick off this year’s fair, the International Travel Festival, ITF, organized by Eventology and co-presented by the Department of Tourism (DOT), held a private media launch at Quest Hotel last June 20, Wednesday.

The event was attended by people from the local media and several bloggers who enjoyed the exciting games and amazing prizes that were up for grab.

Newly-appointed DOT 7 Director Shailmar Tamano was also in attendance who gave some updates of what’s going on in the region in terms of tourism and how the government is preparing for the continuous growth of Cebu’s tourism industry.

“Because the industry is getting bigger, we plan to have a seamless connection with the private and DOT. We plan to organize a regular dialogue, so that every decision will not come from the government but from everyone (from different industries).”, said Tamano.

Connie Cimafranca, supervisor of Cathay Pacific, Stephanie Villahermosa, managing director of Divaishnavi International, Inc., Kristin Aguilar, senior sales officer of Silkair, and Harry Inoferio, senior assistant vice president for Philippine Airlines, also graced the event and discussed with the media what to expect for the travel fair and on the exciting promos and deals they have to offer to the public.

Also, they talked about the future of Cebu as one of the main travel hubs in the world and as well the different issues that persist in the city’s airline and hotel industries and how they, with the help of the different government agencies and local government units (LGUs), can do to address them.

The theme, “ITF 2018: It’s All Here” is only fitting for this year’s event since the travel fair has already become a one-stop shop for people who dreams to travel. You don’t have to visit different companies anymore because ITF allows you to browse through different airfares, book a flight, cruise package or hotel accommodation, get a travel insurance and choose a suitable tour package at the same time.

ITF has surely been offering hassle-free services to both its loyal and new customers here in Cebu since its launch in 2014, and it continues to grow bigger and bigger each year.

This year, it proudly brings over 110 exhibitors together for three days. These include participating airline and hotel companies, travel agencies and local government agencies.

You make book your flights with the following participating airline companies: Philippine Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Silk Air, Eva Air, Air Asia and AirSWIFT.

You may also choose from over 50 participating hotel companies from the Philippines’ prime destinations for your accommodation. This includes Quest Hotel, BE Resorts, Resorts World Manila, Azalea, BAI Hotel, Bayview Park Hotel, Bluewater Properties, Cebu Parklane and International Hotel, Crown Regency Hotels and Resorts, Eskaya, Golden Prince, GO Hotels, Maayo Hotel, Marco Polo Plaza Hotel, Seda Properties, Radisson Blu and Waterfront Cebu City Hotel, and more.

For cruises, you may also visit the booths of Royal Caribbean Cruises, Celebrity Cruises and Star Cruises.

The International Travel Festival 2018 will take place from July 13- 15, 2018 at the Ayala Center Cebu. Different booths, which will open at exactly 10:00 a.m. on July 13, will be scattered along The Gallery, Paseo Marina, Paseo Solana, Ayala Activity Area and on the second floor of the mall.
