A man who is engaged in illegal drug sales was arrested by operatives of the Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) of the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) past 4 p.m. on Monday.

Drugs worth P90,000 was confiscated from the possession of Anselmo Ylaya, 49.

Chief Insp. Henrix Bancoleta, DEU chief, said that Ylaya was arrested outside of his residence in Sitio Caduroy, Barangay Tisa as he was about to hand a sachet of shabu to a poseur buyer.

Bancoleta said they placed Ylaya under surveillance after another drug suspect whom they arrested earlier told them that he would get his supply of drugs from him.

Police are now preparing charges for drugs possession and peddling against the suspect.
