The spate of killings in Cebu, if left unsolved, is expected to have a negative impact on businesses here, said Robert Go, president of the Philippine Retailers Association Cebu Chapter.

Go said that their counterparts in Metro Manila have already expressed concern of the peace and order situation here.

He expressed fear that these retailers may eventually decide to forgo plans to expand their operations in the province if the series of killings will not be stopped or solved.

“Any news on killings has a big effect on business,” Go said in a statement sent to Cebu Daily News.

Go is asking police to exert more effort in putting an end to killings.
