Amid destabilization rumors, Colonel Medel Aguilar, spokesperson of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Central Command, said the military in the region remains intact.

Aguilar belied reports of military unrest in relation to the issues concerning Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, saying that such information has no basis.

The military spokesperson also said that Cebu remains in red alert since the last visit of President Rodrigo Duterte in Cebu last August.
