VISITING netters were the first to book semifinals tickets in the ongoing Globe Citigreen Junior Tennis Cup 2018 via the 18 Boys category which was held at the Pardo Tennis court yesterday.

Top seed Jose Maria Pague of Sibugay, Zamboanga del Norte, advanced to the final 4 with an 8-1 lambasting of Cebu’s Kevin Balundo.

Inabanga, Bohol’s Scottie Jumamoy, for his part, was handed a semifinals slot on a sliver platter after his opponent failed to show up for their match.

Both Pague and Jumamoy, though, will have to wait for the quarterfinals to be completed to know who they will be facing for a chance to enter the finals.

Top seeds in other categories also stayed in contention with Heinz Aslan Carbonilla advancing to the quarterfinals in the 12 Boys via an 8-0 victory over John Lope Ouano.

Rupert Ohrelle Tortal is also through to the final 8 in the 14 Boys with an 8-2 thrashing of Axel Apat.

In the distaff side, top seeds Tennielle Madis (12 Girls), Tiffany Claire Nocos (14 Girls) and Rovie Baulete (16 Girls) are also on track for their title campaign.
