Rose Pharmacy Rapid chessfest on today at Robinsons
THE much-awaited fast-paced chess competition, the Third Salon de Rose Rapid Chess Tournament, will come off wraps today at the fourth level of Robinsons Galleria Cebu.
The tournament is expected to draw around a hundred wood pushers who will vie in the seven-round Swiss system format with 15 minutes playing time plus a five-second increment.
This event is organized by Bogie Lim of Rose Pharmacy in cooperation with the Cebu Executives and Professionals Chess Club (Cepca) and Robinsons Galleria Cebu.
The champion wood pusher will receive P3,000 while the second placer will get P2,000, third placer with P1,000, fourth placer with P700, and P500 for the fifth placer.
Registration fee is pegged at P200.
Those interested can register at the playing venue.
The tournament will kickoff at 1 pm.
