Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña’s announcement on his Facebook page that the rent for Cebu City-owned market spaces will be reduced by half was welcomed by a lot of netizens.
Laurence Velasco wrote, “If only the country would invest into farming. If so, the country would not face this kind of problem. I’m more than willing to enter the agricultural business if the deal/offer is good.”
Meanwhile Mikee Johnson said, “nice na mayor para pud ang mga farmers dli pud binoangan anang mga middleman kay ubos kaau ila kuha unya sila pay dako ginansya kaysa nila.”
Frenchester Dellera Doblados also said, “?? nice but sana pati mga malls or private groceries pod kay mao man ang adtuan permi ng buyers..well good start anyway??”
