The municipal government of Dalaguete in southern Cebu already opened on Sunday night one lane of the community road in Sitio Lipa, Barangay Mantalongon that was covered with rocks and loose soil following a landslide, Friday night.

But soil movement remains unstable in the area, said a post on the municipal government’s Facebook page.

“We advise the motorists or passersby to take safety precaution,” said their FB post.

Personnel from the Municipal Planning and Development Office (MPDO), the Municipal Engineering Office (MEO) and the Dalaguete Disaster Risk Reduction and Management office (DDRRMO) under the supervision of Mayor Allan Cesante implemented clearing on the landslide covered road in Sitio Lipa on Sunday.

“The operation will continue tomorrow morning,” said the town’s FB post.
