CEBU Daily News/Bombo Radyo escaped DYSS Super Radyo/Barangay RT, 59-58, in the second conference of the 2018 Newsmen Basketball Association of Cebu (NBAC) at the Cebu Eastern College (CEC) gym last Sunday.
James Savellon topscored for CDN/Bombo with 15 points, while Hakeem Bustamante added 13 points.
Bustamante sank the game-winning free throw after being fouled on a lose ball situation with 0.6 seconds left and the score tied at 58.
Savellon and Bustamante scored all 11 fourth quarter points for CDN/Bombo. Gregy Magdadaro led DYSS with 13 markers, while Aquiles Gesim added 11.
In another game, Organique SunStar/MB/MyTV slipped past GMA-7 TV, 66-63.
Meanwhile, CDN/Bombo’s Doris Mondragon was crowned Miss NBAC.
