BIG man Sammy Sia had his finest game in the young season, powering Batch ‘80s/’90s-A/Argentina Corned Beef to an 87-82 win over Batch 2009/Cebu Dragon last Saturday in the 2014 Cebu Eastern College Alumni Basketball Association (Cecaba) 13th Dr. Chen Lieh Fu Memorial Cup at the CEC Gym.
Sia finished with a team-high 22 points in a solid performance he also laced with six rebounds, three assists, one rebound and one blocked shot.
Stephen Tan chipped in 19 markers, Paul Cabellon donated 19, while Joel Chan had a brilliant all-around game with nine points, nine assists, seven rebounds and a steal as Batch ‘80s/’90s-A pocketed its second straight win to improve 2-1 (win-loss).
Joseph Baluyos Jr. posted a game-high 25 markers, Dwight Miranda Sy coughed up 24, while Harold James Tan netted 17 in Batch 2009’s third loss in as many outings.
