On the eve of the Lunar New Year on February 4, guests were able to witness the celebration of Quest Hotel and Conference Center’s welcoming of the year of the Earth Pig.
Time-honored traditions and festive ceremonies including an eye-dotting ceremony, a lion dance show, a Yee Sang Toss were just some of the highlights of the evening.
General Manager Mia Singson-Leon led in the Yee Sang Toss or Prosperity Toss at the Pusô Bistro & Bar.
It is said that each of the ingredients signify elements of fortune for the family and it is believed that the higher the toss, the more abundance awaits for everyone on the table.
From February 4 – 5 roasted peking duck, assorted Chinese cold cuts, stir-fry noodles, dim sum favorites, and traditional sweets such as fortune cookies and bochi were the special offerings of the buffet.
Guests also got to enjoy a luminous Lion Dance Show which was performed by Cebu Centennial Lions Club.
