Two proclamation rallies for Partido Barug tonight
CEBU CITY — Partido Barug will hold two simultaneous proclamation rallies in Barangay Mabolo and Barangay Basak San Nicolas tonight, March 29, 2019, to officially present their candidates to the voting public.
Vice Mayor Edgardo Labella, standard bearer of Partido Barug, said the two proclamation rallies will maximize the party’s limited resources and will directly gather supporters and voters of the north and south districts.
Labella, who is challenging Tomas Osmena’s reelection bid as Mayor of Cebu City, said the simultaneous proclamation rallies will also enable the candidates to focus on their respective districts.
The proclamation rallies will start at 7 p.m.

The South District proclamation rally will be held in Barangay Basak San Nicolas with congressional candidate Jocelyn Pesquera leading the ceremony. She will be joined by candidates for councilors: Gerald Carillo, Phillip Zafra, Eduardo Rama, Jr., Renato Osmeña Jr., Donaldo Hontiveros, Francis Esparis, Antonio Cuenco, and Erick Espina.
“Sa Norte kay Mabolo tungod kay ako, taga Mabolo man. Sa South kay sa Basak San Nicolas kay atong bise mayor, Mike Rama, taga didto man,” said Labella.
(We chose to have the rallies for the north district in Mabolo because I am from Mabolo. In the south district, we chose to have it in Basak San Nicolas since our vice mayor, Mike Rama, hails from that village.)

Labella and running mate, former Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama, are expected to grace the events.
Rama is now running as Vice Mayor.
“Kini among mga rally, wala mi gasto ani. Ang mga katawhan ang nikuyog pagkadungog nila by word of mouth,” said Labella.
(We did not spend money for these rallies. The people joined us when they heard about our activity by word of mouth.) / celr
