MCWD to ration water in 2 Cebu City brgys today

CEBU CITY, Philippines – Prepare your water containers.

The Metro Cebu Water District (MCWD) will be sending trucks to deliver water to residents of Barangays Sambag 1 and 2 in Cebu City starting at 3 p.m. today, April 6.

Charmaine Rodriguez-Kara, MCWD spokesperson, said in an advisory released this afternoon that their water trucks will be visiting the Sambag 1 barangay hall from 3 p.m. to 12 midnight and the Sambag 2 barangay hall from 6 p.m. to midnight.

In an earlier interview, Kara said that the mild El Niño that is now experienced in Cebu has already started to drain water from the Buhisan dam that supplies potable water to at least 6, 000 households located in the two barangays.
