Miss Teen Philippines candidate, Kylah Sanchez: Free tutorial classes in public schools
CEBU CITY, Philippines — Kylah Sanchez has always been stage ready.
But before she conquers the national stage again, the 17-year-old beauty queen shares her advocacy as she emphasized the importance of education to young people.
“I believe that majority will agree that education is the foundation of a happy and prosperous life and everybody deserves to have that kind of privilege,” she told CDN Digital.
She starts her advocacy through offering free tutorial classes for Math and English subjects to Grade 7 and 8 students in Cabancalan National High School in Mandaue City.
The free tutorial began in October 2017 with three students. At present, Sanchez is helping 14 students.
As she brings this advocacy in the national stage, Sanchez hopes to encourage more volunteers to conduct free tutorials for schoolchildren.
Sanchez completes the Top 6 candidates from Cebu who will vie for Miss Teen Philippines 2019 on May 8 in Manila.

Miss Teen Philippines 2019 is her third national pageant. She won Miss Hannah’s Tourism Ambassador 2018 and a Top 10 finisher in Miss World Philippines 2018.
Does she feel pressure taking the national stage again?
“I am a little bit nervous because this is not my first national pageant, and I know that there are people who thinks that I have the edge among others and that makes me more pressured,” she said.
