CEBU CITY, Philippines — Vice President Leni Robredo is expected to be in Cebu on Sunday, April 28, for the campaign sortie of the Otso Diretso senatorial slate.

This was confirmed to CDN-Digital by Lawyer Ibarra “Barry” Gutierrez III, Otso Diretso spokesperson, who said that all eight senatorial candidates would be in Cebu as well.

Gutierrez said that Robredo would lead the Ahon Laylayan Event at the Plaza Independencia from 1 to 3 p.m.

In the morning, a complete Otso Diretso slate will be holding a Multisectoral Dialogue at the Barangay Taloot in Argao town in southern Cebu at the covered court there from 10 to 11 a.m.

He said that this would be the first time the complete slate would be together since the opening salvo for Otso Diretso in Camarines Sur on February 13.

Sentorial candidates Manuel “Mar” Roxas, Magdalo Representative Gary Alejano, reelectionist Senator Paolo Benigno “Bam” Aquino, human rights lawyer Jose Manuel “Chel” Diokno, Marawi civic leader Samira Gutoc, ex-solicitor general Florin Hilbay, election lawyer Romulo “Romy” Macalintal, and ex-Quezon congressman Erin Tañada are expected to join the dialogue.

They are expected to talk to senior citizens, fisherfolk, women, and beneficiaries of the Saling Tubig program of then Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Roxas.

This is the third time that Otso Diretso will be wooing the vote-rich province of Cebu.

On Monday, the campaign will move to Bacolod in Negros Occidental. /dbs
