By: Jose Santino S. Bunachita March 18,2014 - 09:07 AM

Please bring along a ton of patience if you’re going to Cebu City’s port area beginning today.

Authorities will be closing the north-bound portion of the Sergio Osmena Rd. — from Gen. Maxilom Avenue (off the Pier  4 gate)  up to the area near the Radisson Blu hotel — to traffic to give way to road repair crews beginning at 6 a.m. today.

Cebu City Integrated Traffic Operations Management (Citom) executive director Rafael Yap said vehicular traffic in the area will be re-routed.

Traffic aides will divert north-bound vehicles to Baclig St., the service road inside the Cebu Ports Authority near the Gen. Maxilom junction, and exit to the port area’s Gate 5  near Radisson Blu.

The south-bound lanes will remain open to traffic.
