Cebu City, Philippines—”It’s very personal.”

That was how Cebuana singer Warlyn Gallaza described her new single entitled, “Oras Na,” composed by Ryan Taborada and Vanessa Abad.

In an interview with CDN Digital, Gallaza never thought Taborada would be able to write how she exactly lives her life.

“I am that human who does not grieve over anybody else’s expectation on when I should settle down or have a partner,” she said.

Gallaza explained that she hustles a lot because she wants to be so preoccupied and would not have time to think of dating.

The 28-year-old Lapu-Lapu City native works as a full-time subject matter expert on research and content.

She is also a financial advisor and into general merchandise for both online and display selling in a mall in Cebu.

Before she joined the Viva Artist Agency in 2018, she was a beauty queen who wore the sash for Cebu City South in the Binibining Cebu 2017.

“Oras Na” is her second single after “Ambot Uy” released in 2018 under Viva Records.

This song is different compared to “Ambot Uy,” which was more on infatuation and focused on the possibilities of having a relationship with someone.

“Oras Na” centers more on independence. Instead of a relationship, career has been the focus of the song.

With the release of her second single, Gallaza assures fans can relate, especially  those who are career focused.

This also sends a message that it is okay to settle late and that there is no need to rush into a relationship.

“Do not let society pressure you on finding a partner. You do not need to find it. Pray for it instead. Just because you do not have someone special for now does not mean you are not loved. Remember that your worth is not found in any human, it is found in God,” she added.  /bmjo
