MANDAUE CITY, Cebu — A male nurse from Barangay Guinacot is the most recent case of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Danao City in northern Cebu.

The frontliner is the city’s 13th confirmed case of the infection, said an advisory that was posted on its Facebook page past 11 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2020.

(The city government is sad to announce that a frontliner is the most recent addition to the city’s COVID-19 cases. The conduct of contact tracing is ongoing to help the city get additional information that will help in its future preparations against the virus.)

With the discovery of the new case of infection, city officials are reminding their constituents not to take any chances in dealing with the virus and to always stay at home.

Danaoanons are also advised to schedule their market visits and are told to avoid from going to neighboring localities even if they were issued with quarantine passes.

DILI MAKITA ANG VIRUS, busa proteksyonan ang kaugalingon,” said the city’s advisory.

(There is also an increasing case of the infection in other localities.  The virus cannot be seen so it is best to always protect ourselves.)

Suportaan nato ang frontliners by doing our part.”

(Your city government through its local task force is doing its part to flatten the COVID-19 curve as we prepare for the new normal, but we will only succeed if we are united in these fight.  Let us support our frontliners by doing our part.)/dbs
