A five-year-old boy and his parents were injured when their family vehicle skidded on a slippery road and fell side up on a fish pond in Dawis Norte, Carmen town at 9:40 a.m today.

Rodrigo Baguio overtook a multi-cab when he noticed that the wheels of the family Nissan Navarra slipped towards the right.

The area where they fell is close to the spot where a Ceres bus also fell on its side and injured 37 of its passengers.

The 44-year-old Baguio, his 36-year-old wife Amytes and five-year-old son Ram Andre were injured in the accident.

Residents used the multi-cab that Baguio overtook to bring them to the Danao District Hospital.

PO1 Alberto Padayao of the Carmen police precinct said there have been several accidents in the area.

“The road is really slippery and it is accident prone,” Padayao told Cebu Daily News.
