Girl, 7, among new COVID-19 cases in Talisay City

MANDAUE CITY, Cebu – A seven-year-old girl and her 41-year-old female companion were made to undergo swab test as a requirement for a local travel.

But they were advised to undergo quarantine after their test results showed that they were infected with the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

PT 1061 and PT 1062 who are both from Barangay Cansojong in Talisay City were swabbed on January 20 and 21 respectively, data from the Public Information Office (PIO) show.

The two are among the eight from Talisay City who recently tested positive for COVID-19.

As of Thursday, January 21, Talisay City recorded a total of 71 new infections and 956 recoveries.

Four of the city’s other new cases were made to undergo testing after they manifested symptoms of the Influenza-Like Illness (ILI).

A 29-year-old resident of Barangay Jaclupan took the test as a requirement for the resumption of her work while a 78-year-old female resident of Bulacao had the test as a requirement for hospital admission.
