‘Masyador’ shot dead in Talisay

CEBU CITY, Philippines – Investigators in Talisay City are now conducting a background check on a cockpit bet collector (masyador in Cebuano) who was shot dead by still unidentified killers on Tuesday evening, February 2.

The victim was identified as Mar Rabaya, a 40-year-old resident of Barangay San Isidro, Talisay City.

Rabaya was gunned down while standing across his house in Barangay San Isidro past 7 p.m.

Police Patrolman Kenjohn Amolo of the Talisay City Police Station said investigators will be doing a background check on the victim to determine possible motives of the crime.

Amolo also said enforcers are still collecting information from possible witnesses to identify the suspects. /rcg
