P&G, Robinsons turns over tablets in Tacloban

PROCTER and Gamble Philippines continues to reach out and help students with their program, ’e.Studyante’ Last June 28, P&G together with Robinsons Place Tacloban turned over 150 Samsung Galaxy tablets and 15 pocket wifi to the students and teachers of Marasbaras Elementary School.

P&G aims to improve education of the students in different barangays and towns through the use of technology.

“Our dream is to help out in eduction, that students can compete with other students i n other countries.” said Anna Legarda, country brand PR manager of P&G Phils.

The tablets and pocket wifi will be able to help teachers and students of Marabaras Tacloban City, a barangay that has been badly hit with the super typhoon Yolanda last year.
“We wanted it to be a fresh start for the kids.” Legarda adds.

Aside from the gift of technology to the school, P&G were also one of the first to send i mmediate help in Tacloban through Red Cross.

e.Studyante program – a donation of education through technology and connectivity was launched by P&G in 2011.

P&G also has launched Project Hope Stores i n partnership with Dranix. With this project, sari-sari stores owners in Tacloban are given stocks to start-up a smallbusiness again.
