MANDAUE CITY, Cebu — Bohol province received on Sunday, March 14, its share of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccines from the national government.

The shipment included 5,140 doses of Astrazeneca vaccines and 1,340 doses of Sinovac that were shipped by Central Visayas office of the Department of Health (DOH-7), Governor Arthur Yap said in a Facebook post.

“Ang tanang hospital (government ug private) sa Bohol ang mga benepisaryo niini,” Yap said.

(All hospitals [both private and government] in Bohol will benefit from the vaccines.)

Yap said that Bol-anon medical frontliners would be prioritized for the vaccines that were kept at the Provincial Health Office (PHO) Cold Chain Facility. This will be distributed to the different hospitals in the province within the next three days.

“Ang padayong pag-abot sa mga bakuna nagpasabot nga nagpadayon ang atong roll-out sa pagpamakuna pinaagi sa DOH,” he said.

(The arrival of the vaccines will mark the start of the roll-out of the vaccination here through DOH.)

Still, Yap is asking Bol-anons not to be complacent while they await the arrival of more vaccine allocations for their province.

“Atong awhag sa tanan, sundon gihapon nato ang minimum health standards kanunay,” he said.

(I am asking everyone to continue to observe minimum health standards.) /dbs
