A 4-YEAR-OLD girl was injured after she was trapped in a burning house in barangay Cadarohan, Borbon town, northern Cebu.
The girl is recuperating from burns in various parts of her body at the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center in Cebu City.
Police said the girl’s parents may have failed to put out a cooking fire used for dinner in the kitchen last Wednesday night.
Embers fell to the floor made of bamboo, triggering the fire. The blaze awakened the family.
The girl’s father told police that flames had already engulfed the house when he discovered that one of his fiver children was still inside.
The father rushed to the burning house and rescued the girl, police said.
Fire damage was pegged at P8,000.
