Pagasa: Strong winds still expected until weekend

GINATILAN, CEBU — The southwest monsoon was forecasted to bring moderate to strong wind in Metro Cebu until the weekend, The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Friday, July 23, 2021.

“Ang atong hangin which is kusog kay affected ta sa southwest monsoon,” Angelica Orongan Pagasa-Mactan weather specialist said.

(Strong wind is here because it is affected by the southwest monsoon.)

Metro Cebu may also anticipate partly cloudy to cloudy skies with rainshowers and thunderstorms until the weekend.

The forecasted temperature for today will range from 25 to 33 degrees Celsius and a heat index from 39 degrees Celsius.

Pagasa advised the public to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides.
