The Cebu City government will release P2,000 cash assistance to 60,000 registered senior citizens on Saturday.

The cash aid is the third cash tranche for seniors after the P1,000 and P2,000 balance of last year released last February.

The second tranche worth P2,000 was released last May. Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama is committed to release P6,000 cash assistance to seniors this year but this year’s budget provides for a P12,000 cash assistance.

Rama said he could release more cash if funding is made available.
