BREASTFEEDING TALK. Breastfeeding mothers and health workers from different barangays in Cebu City pose for a photo opportunity with Canadian speaker Dr. Jack Newman in SM City Cebu.
The Canadian doctor and breastfeeding advocate was in Cebu City recently and held series of talks about the importance of Breastfeeding in celebration of the Breastfeeding Month which is August. In SM City Cebu, the forum was attended by breastfeeding mothers, barangay health workers, mall employees, Rotarians, and tenants.
Dr. Newman is the founder of the first hospital breastfeeding clinic in Canada and has been a consultant for UNICEF’s Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative. He is also a founding member of the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine and co-author of several books. The talk on Breastfeeding was also supported by LATCH Cebu.
